Young Wins 4th Industry Poker Tournament
During HDAW ‘11
Cincinnati, OH, January 27, 2011 -HDeXchange, Inc. (HDX) congratulates Jason Young from Thompson Power Systems (Birmingham, AL), winner of the fourth Heavy Duty Industry Poker Tournament, hosted by HDX, during the 2011 Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
“It was a wonderful experience meeting lots of people around a poker table in Vegas,” said Young. “Luck was definitely on my side as I wound up with pocket kings, pocket aces and pocket nines all while at the final table. I look forward to returning next year to defend my title,” he added.
Young, who has experience in the World Series of Poker, was sponsored in the event by SKF. Second place went to Paul Wofford from Wofford Truck Parts (El Paso, TX), who was sponsored by MEI. Federal Mogul won the unofficial team title by placing two individuals in the final table.
“HDAW is a great event every year and the days leading up to the poker tournament were very busy for everyone. The tournament is a fun way for distributors and manufacturers alike to wind down and rub elbows in some friendly card-playing competition,” said Edward Kuo, Executive Director of HDX.
This year’s event included over 60 participants, approximately 150 spectators, and featured a total prize pool of over $5,500. Sponsors included Bendix, Datalliance, Federal Mogul, Firestone, Grote, Phillips Industries, Precision Rebuilders, SKF, Tenneco, Timken, Truck-Lite, and Wilson Auto Electric.
